Rohingya Trishaw Driver Severely Injured by Myanmar Military Vehicle

Mrauk-U (Fatthar Killa), Arakan state- On 16th May 2014 afternoon, a military motor vehicle hit a trishaw violently at its back on a road in Shan Taung village, Mrauk-U (Fatthar Killa) Township. It left the driver of the trishaw, a Rohingya, with severe injuries.

“Mongola (son of) Khala (fahther) and Faatoli (mother) of age 42 is a Rohingya trishaw driver in Shan Taung village, Mrauk-U (Fatthar Killa) Township. While he was driving his trishaw on 16th May 2014 afternoon on a road in Shan Taung, a military motor vehicle hit his trishaw violently at its back. That left the trishaw driver with critical injuries.

The military vehicle didn’t stop to look into his situation and send him to hospital. The vehicle quickly ran away. However, onlookers sent the Rohingya man to hospital”

“Doctors asked the people not to worry. The trishaw driver required total 9 stiches to his head injuries. He is now feeling better” he continued.
