Army arrest 41 Rakhines with lethal weapons in Buthidaung

Buthidaung, Arakan State:  Army personnel from Sein Nyin pya village arrested 41 –Rakhine at the mountain pass of Sein Nyin Pya north today morning, according to Village admin office member from Buthidaung.

The firewood collectors and cowboys had seen Rakhine terrorists with lethal weapons- 16 long swords, 8-firearms and 4 bows and arrows, catapults with marbles and slingshots- yesterday and the boys returned to the village where they informed to the village admin officer, the member said.

The village admin officer informed to the army who are stationed at the village’s primary school yesterday and a section of army personnel rounded up the mountain pass early morning.

The army arrested 41 Rakhine terrorists and interrogated in their station where the Rakhine terrorists confessed that they come from Bangladesh and there are some group entered to Maungdaw and Buthidaung to make problem with Muslim who claim Rohingya. The Rakhine from Bangladesh also entered to Arakan south sides, the group stated, according to an aide of security forces.

Later, the army personnel, handed over the Rakhine terrorists to Buthidaung army head office, the aide said.

The Rakhine who claim themselves from Bangladesh, will be released as some Rakhine from Buthidaung or Maungdaw will claim that the Rakhines are from their villages, which happen before in Maungdaw, said Anuu, a trader from Buthidaung.

So many Rakhine from Bangldesh was seen by Rohingya while they crossed the border, moving inside Maungdaw and crossing mountain pass to Buthidaung with fire arms. The Army also arrested some Rakhines, but later they were released for claiming that they are belong to Rakhine villages of Maungdaw or Buthidaung, the trader said.

Rohingya from Maungdaw and Buthidaung are at panic for Rohingya with firearms are moving in the areas where the authority is also helping them. The Rohingya become at bank of dangerous zoom, said Hamid, a school teacher from Maungdaw.
